Being successful lies purely in the first person perspective. If I set out to achieve a goal, whether it be eating 317 gummy worms in an hour or watch grass grow for 2 days straight, and I accomplish this, then I am successful. Others can certainly find these goals to be worthless, but my success only requires my judgement to determine whether or not I have succeeded. Whether or not your success is useful to society is something entirely different. My ultimate goal is to be wildly successful in my own mind, but be wildly successful at something that is useful and beneficial for others, that way when I am old and dying, I can rest easy knowing that I have had a successful and fulfilling life. As a Christian, I am confident that one day my hard work here on earth will earn me an eternity of happiness in heaven, and so I live each day with a purpose for life and a purpose to leave everything better than I found it. Our time here on earth is so short, and so it is my mission to leave a positive impact on the world and make it better for future generations to come, and so that is how I plan to live through my work, and that is where my life is going.

To fulfill the requirements of my UHS scholarship, I was required to volunteer for a cumulative 5 hours. I chose to go to the animal shelter over the course of a weekend (1 hour on Friday, 2 on Saturday, and 2 on Sunday) to fulfill my mandated hours, because my love for animals is almost as great as my love for pizza. They let me walk dogs the entire time, which I was totally okay with, as the soft woofs of the puppies and loud borfs of the larger dogs gave me all the confirmation I needed that I was doing a good job, and the occasional belly rub brought me never-ending satisfaction. The only downside to volunteering here, was that it made me sad that I couldn't take all of the wonderful animal friends that I made home with me.
The Honors Social was a ton of fun, and I had a great time with all of my fellow peers. A food connoisseur myself, when I heard that the social would be held at a Mediterranean restaurant, I was extremely excited, and became even more excited once I found out that we would be eating gyros. I traveled to Greece this past summer and practically ate my weight in those sandwiches, so having one for dinner was a nice throwback to the carefree days of summer travels. After eating, we got down to the real business of the evening, the dancing. I like to consider myself a freestyle dancer, not adhering to any particular set of moves, so I thoroughly enjoyed my time slaying the dance floor. The DJ also played some pretty good party bops, which made dancing for hours all the more enjoyable.

AuthorI'm 18 years old, with aspiring dreams of being a trophy husband. I also enjoy the entire star wars series, and I love exercise, Bob Ross, and memes. I also hate Sea World, and think that it's an abomination to mankind. If I could have any animal as a pet, it would have to be a capybara. I love serving the community, and getting to meet and develop friendships with new people! Archives
